This portion of our Childcare Program follows the school year of the Unicoi County School District. Registration opens at the beginning of the school year, and it is available for additional sign-ups throughout the year. Typical hours are from 3pm-6pm. We have also made a wonderful connection with the school bus system to have the children dropped off at the Y after school for families that could use this help at no extra cost. When the children arrive, they are given a healthy snack and given time to work on their homework or visit our tutor from our tutoring program. Other activities include learning sign language, learning about a different country and animal each week, special guests to talk to the kids about character development, group exercise, weekly library videos from the Unicoi County Public Library, and more! 

We also host care for early release, snow days, and days out of school. Typical hours for an early release day are from 11:45am-6pm with an opportunity to swim in the indoor swimming pool. On these days, they will receive an additional snack and will need a swimsuit and towel if they would like to swim. Typical hours for snow days or days out of school are from 7am-6pm with an opportunity to swim in the indoor swimming pool. On these days, they will receive breakfast, 2-3 snacks, and additional activities. To be prepared, they will need a swimsuit and towel as well as a packed sack lunch.
