Summer Camp

This portion of our Childcare Program begins the week following the last day of school and extends to the start of the new school year. Registration opens in the Spring and is available for additional sign-ups throughout the summer. Typical hours for Summer Camp are from 7am-6pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided through the Unicoi County School System as well as a snack provided by the Y. Each week, the children can look forward to fun activities, lots of time outside, swim time in our indoor pool, group exercise, special guest visits from local partners, special activities, field trips, and more!

Summer Camp

Welcome to the Unicoi County Family YMCA Summer Camp! Our summer camp offers a fun and enriching experience for children aged 5 to 12, as well as a Counselors-in-Training program for teens aged 13 to 17. Join us for a summer filled with exciting field trips and themed weeks designed to keep kids engaged and entertained.

Parent Meet & Greet:

A Parent Meet & Greet with our Childcare Director, Kimberly Diaz, is required for all parents. Schedule your meeting for May 17th by calling the Unicoi County Family YMCA or emailing ucfymca.childcare@gmail.com.

Pricing:

  • Members: $110 per week
  • Non-Members: $140 per week

Online and in person registration. For weekly payment options please stop by the Y front desk.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm

Theme Weeks:

  1. Introduction Week – No field trip
  2. Space Week – Quantum Leap
  3. Farm Week – Fenders Farm
  4. Ninja Week – Olsens Martial Arts
  5. Jurassic Week – Back Yard Terror and Dinosaur
  6. Art Week – Paradise Acres
  7. Blue, Red, & White Week – Quantum Leap
  8. Under the Sea Week – Wetlands
  9. Science Week – Holiday Lanes
  10. Theme Week – AMC Theater
  11. Camp Out Week – Campout on Friday (Additional Charge)
  12. Back to School Week – Fishery

Fishery on Fridays except for first week

Meals:

Meals provided include breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

  • Camp Kids: 5 years to 12 years
  • Counselors in Training: 13 years to 17 years
